Software tycoon Ahn Cheol-soo met with Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon on Thursday. Ahn, whose support eventually clinched the top job in the city for Park, is widely seen as a presidential contender.

The Seoul City Government said the meeting marked the first anniversary of Ahn agreeing to relinquish his own candidacy for Seoul mayor so Park could run unopposed for the progressive camp.

A spokesperson said Ahn urged Park to improve the lives of Seoul citizens, and the mayor once again thanked Ahn for his support last year.

Pundits speculated that the two must have talked strategy for the upcoming presidential election, but Park told reporters that they did not discuss political issues.
