North Korean leader Kim Jong-un returned to Pyongyang to inspect a restaurant, the North's official KCNA agency said Saturday. He was accompanied by his wife Ri Sol-ju eating popcorn.
When they paid tribute to new statues of the leader's father, Kim Jong-il, and grandfather, Kim Il-sung on Aug. 29, Kim and his wife were seen wearing "couple watches," a distinctly capitalist fad.
Watch expert Lee Eun-kyoung said they are made by Swiss brand Movado. The models are priced at around US$1,000 and are not part of the firm's super-luxury lines.
