Fruit Prices Likely to Soar Due to Bolaven

Fruit prices are expected to surge after Typhoon Bolaven swept the nation, damaging crops and toppling trees. Apple and pear trees were the worst affected.

Nonghyup said on Thursday that Bolaven destroyed over 9,000 hectares of apple and pear orchards nationwide.

Prices of fruit and other fresh foods were already high in the wake of the unusual heat wave that hit the country late last month.
