'The Thieves' Looking to Steal No. 1 Spot in All-Time Box-Office Rankings

The crime flick "The Thieves" has claimed second place in the all-time box office rankings for domestic films by luring more than 12.31 million moviegoers as of Thursday.

It overtook "The King and the Clown," which drew 12.3 million viewers, and has almost caught up with "The Host," which attracted 13 million.

Now attention is being paid to whether it will replace "The Host" as the nation's most-watched movie. "The Thieves" maintains a strong showing, drawing around 50,000 spectators even on weekdays some six weeks after its release.
