Samsung, Apple CEOs to Seek Compromise One More Time

Samsung Electronics and Apple, which are locked in a legal battle over patent infringements, will once more attempt to reach agreement through a teleconference.

Bloomberg on Monday cited unnamed sources as saying Samsung Electronics vice president Kwon Oh-hyun and Apple CEO Tim Cook are to hold the teleconference on Tuesday Korean time, with lawyers representing both sides presenting the results to Northern District Court of California Judge Lucy Koh.

The phone conference comes after Koh repeatedly urged the two companies to try and reach agreement before the jury starts deliberating on Wednesday. The Samsung and Apple chiefs tried but failed to reach agreement in May and July.
