Samsung's Tablet PCs Sell Fraction of iPads

Samsung Electronics lags far behind Apple in the U.S. tablet PC market, with sales from the Galaxy Tab a mere 4 percent of the iPad's.

Between the fourth quarter of 2010 and the middle of 2012, Samsung sold 1.4 million Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets, generating $644 million in revenue, according to data disclosed during the ongoing patent trial between the two giants at a court in California.

Apple sold 34 million units in iPad 2 alone and generated a whopping W19 billion revenue.

Samsung and Apple had asked the Northern District Court of California to keep their sales data secret, but the court rejected the request saying the jury will need the data to identify their income structure.
