Record numbers of people are using mobile devices to search for news on the 2012 London Olympics.
According to statistics released by Google on Wednesday, Europeans made more mobile searches than people on any other continent, with most countries having one-third or more of their Olympics-related searches taking place on a tablet or smartphone.
Not surprisingly, Britain had the greatest number of Olympics-linked mobile searches in Europe, with 46 percent of related Google queries occurring on mobile devices.
Korea saw 36 percent of its searches for material associated with the Games channeled through mobile devices.
