Korean Fencers Grab Nation's 100th Olympic Medal

Korea grabbed its 100th Olympic medal after the men's sabre team defeated Romania 45 to 26 in their gold-medal match early Saturday. It was the nation's ninth gold of the London Games.

Korea achieved the feat 36 years after Yang Jung-mo grabbed the nation's first Olympic gold in the men's 62-kg freestyle wrestling at the 1976 Montreal Games.

Meanwhile, Jin Jong-oh won his second gold medal in London by triumphing at the men's 50-m air pistol match over the weekend, meaning that Korea has already achieved its target of 10 gold medals for a likely top-10 finish.

Jin claimed the 10-m air pistol title on the first day of the London Olympics.
