Korea's Olympic football team beat Switzerland 2-1 in their second Group B match at the London Games on Monday in Coventry. The win raised the team's hopes of advancing to the quarterfinals.
Arsenal striker Park Chu-young headed the first goal over the line in the 57th, but Korea surrendered an equalizer just three minutes later. The team kept its composure, however, with Kim Bo-kyung of Cerezo Osaka getting the winner with his left foot in the 64th to help Korea bag the three points on offer.
Korea now ranks second in the group with four points from one win and one draw. Mexico is ahead on goal difference. The two sides fought to a goalless draw on Friday.
Korea heads to London for its final group stage match against Gabon on Wednesday at Wembley Stadium. Mexico beat Gabon 2-0 on Sunday.
