North Korean leader Kim Jong-un attended the completion ceremony of an amusement park in Pyongyang on Wednesday. A picture published by the state media shows him with Chinese Ambassador to North Korea Liu Hongcai and aunt Kim Kyong-hui on a giant swing.

The picture can be seen as symbolic of the current regime, with its close family ties and dependence on China.

Across from the North Korean leader is Choe Ryong-hae, the most influential person in the North Korean military and the director of the People's Army General Political Bureau. Next to Choe are interpreters. A South Korean intelligence officer commented, "This picture depicts clearly who is running North Korea at the moment. Liu is sitting in the middle between Kim Jong-un and Kim Kyong-hui. It is a rather interesting arrangement."

An Unification Ministry said, "The rides in the picture seem to be more adventurous and violent than the standard joy rides. Young Kim Jong-un may be able to take it, but it would be a bit too difficult for Kim Kyong-hui, who is not in good form for a woman of 66."
