Jim Yong Kim was sworn in as president of the World Bank on Sunday. The website of the World Bank carried a photo of Kim on the welcome screen and said the former president of Dartmouth College "is already hard at work" as the 12th World Bank president.
Kim launched a section titled "Ask Jim Kim" on the website where he said, "It's more important than ever that we deliver results on the ground and amplify the voices of the poor," he wrote.
He also initiated a little survey, asking people to respond to the question, "What are the most exciting innovations that can bring greater prosperity to everyone?"
Kim will lead the World Bank for five years. He succeeds Robert Zoellick.
