The Seoul Metropolitan Government will open seven outdoor swimming pools along the Han River this Friday. The pools, visited by more than half a million people in central Seoul every year, are in the Nanji Riverside Swimming Area and in the six parks in Ttukseom, Yeouido, Gwangnaru, Mangwon, Jamsil and Jamwon.
Each pool is divided into separate spaces for adults, adolescents and children, and fitted with a variety of facilities including showers and shops.
The Nanji Riverside Swimming Area can be visited by people in ordinary clothing: the wearing of bathing suits is not mandatory here. The park is also popular among children due to its tall fountains and a musical fountain equipped with LED lighting. The pools will open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily until Aug. 26 including weekends and national holidays.
