The official total of South Koreans abducted by North Korea during the 1950-53 Korean War has been upped from 392 to 743.

Prime Minister Kim Hwang-sik met with government officials on Wednesday and decided to add an additional 351 missing South Koreans to the list.

"The government will continue to pay close attention not only to the issue of people abducted by North Korea but also to resolving humanitarian problems caused by the country's division," Kim said.
