Yongsan police in Seoul has expanded its investigation of ex-member of dance group Roo'ra and TV personality Go Young-wook for alleged sexual assault on a minor.
In addition to an 18-year-old girl who first claimed sexual assault by Go, police said they are investigating two more victims. One of them, now 20, says Go raped her in 2010, promising to help her to get into show business, and the other says she has been subject to sexual abuse from Go since she was in middle school.
Police said the two decided to file a complaint after Go denied the charges in the media.
Go is accused of luring a high school student into his flat in Hannam-dong, Yongsan on March 30 with the promise of putting her in touch with a showbiz agency, and then getting her drunk and raping her. Go contacted her after he saw her on a cable channel reality show about aspiring models.
Under questioning on May 7, Go testified that he did not know that she was under 19, the effective age of consent. But police say they have testimony from the cable channel producer who gave Go the victim's phone number that he did in fact know her age in advance.
