The "Lost" star Kim Yun-jin will play a leading role in a new ABC drama called "Mistresses," her management agency said Friday. Filming starts in late March for the drama set to air next year.
"Mistresses" is a remake of a hit BBC drama that aired back in 2008 about the friendship and romances of a group of university friends in their 30s who reunite at the funeral of one of their husbands. The drama deals with relationships among women with similar storylines to hit series like "Sex and the City" and "Desperate Housewives."
"The casting process was pretty difficult and involved several meetings, auditions and camera tests," Kim said. "I'm thrilled to get this part and it means a lot to me as I got through the tough competition. I would like to thank the producers and others involved in the program for supporting me." She added getting the part was "like a miracle."
