More People Abandon City for Country

Migration out of the cities continues at a furious pace. A total of 10,503 households moved from cities to rural areas last year, up from 880 in 2001.

The Rural Development Administration on Monday predicted the figure will exceed 20,000 households this year when the baby-boomer generation born in the late 1950s start retiring en masse.
