Security will be a lot tighter at Korean ports as the country prepares for the Seoul Nuclear Security Summit in March.
The Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs on Monday said the government will toughen inspections of international vessels that enter six major Korean ports, including those in Incheon, Sokcho and Jeju.
Meanwhile, President Lee Myung-bak on Monday morning visited the COEX Convention Center, the venue for the gathering, and stressed that public support and cooperation are needed for the summit to be a success.
