Israel has decided to buy M-346 combat training jets from Italy rather than Korea's T-50s, AP reported on Thursday.

The Israeli Defense Ministry said it will buy 20 to 35 M-346s with a budget of US$1 billion between 2014 and 2016.

To replace its outdated American A-4 Skyhawks, Israel had considered the Korean aircraft.
