Supporters of software tycoon Ahn Cheol-soo are forming their own political party. Around 120 members founded the party on Sunday.

The supporters are mainly young people in their 20s and 30s who help organize a series of lecture meetings by Ahn aimed at guiding young Koreans who are frustrated with the existing political and social system. The party will officially be launched on March 11.

It aims to differentiate itself from other political groups by focusing on issues involving younger voters, such as university tuition fees and childcare benefits. The party is also considering fielding a candidate for the upcoming general elections.

Some 250 founding members include 20- and 30-somethings who run their own businesses, work as part-time university lecturers, or are unemployed or university students.
