SNU, Harvard Law Schools Agree Student Exchange

Students at the Seoul National University School of Law will be able to take classes at Harvard Law School on an exchange program from the first semester this year. SNU Law School on Wednesday said its Dean Chong Jong-sup and Harvard Law School Dean Martha Minow signed the agreement last week.

Both schools will select a handful of students and send them to the partner institution for one or two terms. The students will not have to pay an additional fee. They will be accorded the same rights in taking classes, and using the university facilities such as libraries and residence halls. The courses they take abroad will be credited at home.

SNU School of Law is reportedly reviewing a plan to provide internship opportunities in large Korean law firms to Harvard Law School students on exchange here. Professors of both schools will also take part in exchange programs to lecture and research.
