North Korea has been identified as one of biggest risk factors the world faces this year.
According to the U.S. research and consulting firm Eurasia Group, North Korea ranked fifth among the top 10 threats for this year as leader Kim Jong-il's death increased instability in the communist country.
The report claims "lack of information about events" in North Korea and new leader Kim Jong-un is a risk that is being "severely underplayed."
It says if Kim Jong-un fails to "run the country effectively," it could either prompt the North to carry out further provocations against South Korea or lead to the North's collapse.
