Pre-orders for Samsung Electronics' new bigger smartphone start through SK Telecom from Friday.
Samsung claims the Galaxy Note phone "combines the advantages of a smartphone and a tablet PC" because it has a 5.3-inch screen as opposed to the 4-inch screens of ordinary smartphones.
The Galaxy Note will be delivered to customers from next Tuesday, SK Telecom said. It claims the 4G LTE model's wireless network speed is over five times faster than for 3G models.
The model comes with an electronic pen. The pre-order price is W456,300 (US$1=W1,157) based on a two-year plan for W62,000 a month.
