"The Boys," the title track of Girls' Generation's third official album, which was released on Oct. 19, has been topping various domestic music charts, reaffirming the girl group's enduring popularity. The album proved a weekly chart-buster on both Hot Tracks and Yes24 for the week ending Oct. 23.
The Korean version of the music video for "The Boys" racked up over 10 million clicks on YouTube in four days of its release Sunday. As of Monday, the combined number of clicks for the Korean and English versions of the video surpassed 1,280 clicks.
The band have seen their popularity spill beyond Korea and Japan. The girls are now targeting potentially larger markets in Europe and the U.S., where their recent concert drew lots of fans.
