Samsung Electronics and Microsoft have joined forces to promote the software giant's next-generation PC operating system. Samsung Electronics said Windows 8 will be unveiled at the BUILD event for MS developers on Sept. 13, and Samsung's tablet PC will be used to demonstrate it."
Windows 8 aims to be better for tablet PCs than its predecessor Windows 7. Samsung apparently hopes to work with both Google's Android OS and Windows 8 in the tablet PC market.
The Windows version to be shown at the BUILD event is a reference model for businesses worldwide to use when making their own products based on the Microsoft OS. The process of developing a reference model involves collaboration with some relevant manufacturers to see if an operating system can be mounted properly, which is how Samsung ended up working with the software giant.
