The EU has reportedly sent 200,000 euros in flood aid to North Korea through the Red Cross and Red Crescent. Voice of America reports the EU has made the announcement on Monday.

The European commission on humanitarian aid said if the Red Cross requests more aid, it is willing to consider it after reviewing how much other donor countries are giving.

Meanwhile, the UN has requested more information on the flood damage in the North since it concluded that the provided information is insufficient to decide whether to carry out a joint aid effort.
