Some 50,000 pro-Pyongyang Koreans living in Japan may be able to vote in South Korea's general and presidential elections next year, the head of the National Assembly's special committee on political reform, Lee Kyung-jae, has warned.
Lee said there is no legal way to stop them from voting, because their political rights also have to be guaranteed.
Starting next year Korean citizens in foreign countries will be eligible to cast their ballots in Korea's elections.
