Korean Air to Launch 2nd Airbus A380 Next Month

Korean Air will put its second superjumbo Airbus A380 in service between Incheon and New York from Aug. 9, the company said on Wednesday. The first A380 went into service on June 17 and flies to Tokyo and Hong Kong in turns.

Like the first, the second jet also has 407 seats, with the entire second floor given over to 94 business-class seats. The first class and business class are equipped with a cocktail bar and display space for duty-free goods.

The Airbus A380 to New York will fly three times a week next month and daily from September. Korean Air plans to introduce three more A380s this year on long-haul routes including Paris and Los Angeles.
