Value added tax will be levied on cosmetic surgery, veterinary treatment for pets and other services from Friday.
The government said Wednesday that the tax will apply to procedures such as double-eyelid surgery, breast enlargement and reduction, and liposuction.
Tax will also be charged at animal hospitals, and at athletic facilities such as fitness clubs and dance academies.
A pamphlet on the changes is available at public libraries and community centers.
