South Korea's top nuclear negotiator Wi Sung-lac and Washington's point man on North Korea Stephen Bosworth met in Seoul on Tuesday to coordinate measures concerning the denuclearization of North Korea, including the resumption of the six-party talks.
In response to Bosworth's call to coordinate with Seoul on issues pertaining to the Korean Peninsula, Wi suggested the two sides meet face-to-face at least once a month to correlate their respective stances.
The senior U.S. envoy is also scheduled to meet with Seoul's National Security Adviser Chun Young-woo and Unification Minister Hyun In-taek for talks on the so-called three-stage process to restart the multilateral discussions, Pyongyang's uranium enrichment program and the possible resumption of food aid to the North.
