The International Telecommunication Union could call on North Korea to stop launching cyber attacks against South Korea, the organization's chief of media relations Sanjay Acharya said on Thursday.
In an interview with Radio Free Asia, Acharya said that it is possible for the ITU to urge Pyongyang to halt hacking attacks against Seoul as the North is a member of the United Nations agency.
South Korea's Prosecution Office announced earlier this week that North Korean hackers were behind an April 12 cyber attack on a South Korean bank which left the bank's online operations paralyzed for days.
