Jeon Ji-hyun will be in the July issue of the American edition of Vogue, the first Korean actress to be included in the iconic fashion magazine. The photo shoot was part of a promotion effort for her appearance in the Hollywood film "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan."
On March 16, Jeon and her co-star Li Bingbing posed for Vogue in New York. Jeon is seen in two stark images -- one in elegant traditional costume and the other in contemporary dress.
The photographer in charge was Annie Leibovitz, who has worked for Vanity Fair and Vogue and whose portraits of celebrities like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Hillary Clinton, Mick Jagger, Bette Midler, and Bruce Springsteen made her one of the most famous portrait photographers in the U.S.
"Snow Flower and the Secret Fan" depicts the friendship of two women in Qing Dynasty, the last ruling dynasty of China. It will be released in the U.S. and China on July 15.
