Park Ji-sung to Promote Wonders of Jeju

Retiring national midfielder Park Ji-sung is to help Jeju Island's campaign to be named one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. The national committee in charge of the campaign said Monday it has appointed Park a goodwill ambassador along with actress Goh Doo-shim.

"Although I'm retiring from the national team, I will do my best in Europe, including England, for the campaign for the country," Park told reporters Monday.

An official with the committee expressed hope that Park's appointment will generate support from Korean and Asian football fans.
