People who report cases of sex trafficking and help rescue victims will now be eligible for rewards of up to W20 million (US$1=W1,116).
The Ministry of Justice said on Tuesday that it has revised the legal code to relax the criteria for rewarding people who report cases of sex trafficking and forced prostitution.
In the past, compensation was only given to those who helped rescue at least three victims or who actively contributed to the arrest of sex traffickers.
The revision also allows people to take photos of those engaged in such activity in order to receive reward money.
