Kim Jong-un, the youngest son and heir apparent of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, was included on a list of candidates to be named CNN’s most intriguing person of the year.
The global news network recently started an online poll to rank the top 10 people who made news in 2010, whether it was for something good or bad.
It described Kim Jong-un as "the future 'favored son' of North Korea" and said that most intelligence agencies do not know much about him.
Kim ranked 9th among 20 candidates as of Wednesday morning. WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange topped the list followed by U.S. President Barack Obama and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.
