TVXQ's New Single Tops Pre-Order Charts in Japan

Korean boy band TVXQ's U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin are preparing to make a comeback in Japan and are already topping the music charts there.

The duo's new Japanese single, due to be released on Jan. 26, hit No. 1 on the pre-order charts of HMV Japan, one of the country's leading music retailers. The charts count total pre-orders taken online on a daily and weekly basis, and the song took first place on both.

The single has also been selected as the main theme song for an upcoming Japanese drama, "Beautiful Neighbors," which will air on Fuji TV starting Jan. 11.

Meanwhile, the duo contributed to the soundtrack for SBS' new drama series "Athena: Goddess of War," and their new album will be released in Korea on Jan. 5.
