Airlines Offer Flight Booking Apps for Smartphones

Korean airlines are rolling out applications that enable people to book and purchase flight tickets with their smartphones.

Asiana Airlines said Tuesday that it will launch a service to allow international flight tickets to be purchased by iPhone or Android-powered smartphones.

The airline first introduced an application for domestic service tickets in September, through which reservations for some 450 tickets have been made so far.

Korean Air offers a similar service for domestic flights and plans to expand it to cover international flights as well.
