Korean military officials say three soldiers were killed when their boat capsized during a routine training exercise Wednesday.
The drill took place in the Namhan River near Yeoju, about 100 kilometers southeast of Seoul. Eight soldiers were on board the craft when it capsized. Another soldier was left unconscious.
This is the third fatal accident to hit Korea's military within a week. Two pilots were killed when their surveillance plane crashed last Friday near the city of Jeonju during a low-level training flight.
Two days earlier, a sailor was killed and two others left missing after their ship collided with a larger fishing vessel near Jeju island off Korea's southern coast.
