Samsung Electronics will soon face a slew of challengers in the burgeoning tablet PC market. The Korean electronics giant recently released the Galaxy Tab, a 7-inch tablet PC, in a bid to topple the dominance of Apple's 9.7-inch iPad.
Now Apple, Research In Motion and Dell are working on their own smaller tablet PCs, according U.S. media.
RIM plans to unveil a tablet PC called the BlackPad which will sport a 7-inch screen and one or two integrated cameras, in the fourth quarter of this year.
Apple is also mulling releasing a smaller iPad with a 7-inch screen, while Dell and Acer are preparing to roll out tablet PCs of the same size.
