Nothing may be able to match the prowess of Apple's iPad in the tablet PC market until at least next year, according to market researcher iSuppli.
While several manufacturers are unveiling their own tablet PCs, none can seriously challenge the iPad's "complete integration of hardware, software, operating system, and applications," iSupply said.
Apple sold some 3.3 million iPads in the second quarter, accounting for 75 percent of the tablet PC market. Its market share is likely to stay around the 70 percent level through next year, and drop to around 62 percent in 2012 as more competitors arrive, the researcher predicted.
