Daelim Industrial announced Thursday that it has won a US$1.66 billion contract from Saudi Arabia's state-run oil company Saudi Aramco to build oil refinery facilities in the port of Yanbu.
The deal calls for the construction of hydrotreater ($1.06 billion) and hydrocracker ($600 million) units to be completed by May 2014.
Under the turn-key contract, Daelim will be responsible for every step from engineering to construction to commissioning.
SK Engineering and Construction also won an order to build a crude distillation unit for the Yanbu project.
