Jobseekers with three to five years of experience were the most favored applicants hired by companies in the first half of this year.
In a survey by jobs website Career on 453 companies, 47.7 percent of the businesses hired more experienced applicants than novices.
In terms of amount of experience, three to five years was most preferred at 40.1 percent, followed by one to three years (27.9 percent), and five to seven years (14.1 percent), and seven to 10 years and over 10 years (7.1 percent each).
Asked why they preferred experienced candidates, around 44.3 percent of respondents said they don't require much job training, while 40.2 percent said they were likely to get familiar with the organizational culture more quickly.
