A collection of items belonging to the late Marilyn Monroe is to be auctioned off, including X-rays of her chest and pelvis.
The images are marked Marilyn DiMaggio, as they were taken before the actress divorced her second husband, baseball star Joe DiMaggio.
Based on the successful sale of other celebrity X-rays, experts predict that Monroe's images will fetch at least US$1,200.
Another standout item in the collection is a couch from the office of her therapist, Dr. Ralph Greenson. A hole that was accidentally punctured by her heels can be seen on the couch, adding greater value to the upholstery.
Also going under the hammer are some clothing, unreleased slides, a set of skis and an engraved champagne glass that belonged to the screen legend.
