Four Samsung Electronics refrigerators grabbed the top spots in sales ranking in the U.S. market in February, it said Thursday quoting market researcher NPD.
Samsung's three so-called French-door refrigerator models, which already grabbed the largest U.S. market share last year, had a 41 percent market share in February, up 20.3 points on-year. As a result, the combined share of Samsung refrigerators reached 17.8 percent in the entire U.S. market, up 9.1 points.
French-door refrigerators have dual doors and fresh food storage in the upper part, and a pullout freezer drawer for frozen food storage in the lower part. The models' proportion in the entire U.S. market rose from 7 percent in 2006 to 15 percent last year.
