Gov't Aims to Tackle Internet Addiction

The government has come up with a plan to prevent Internet addiction and help the nation's two million online addicts.

With a goal to bring down the Internet addiction rate to below 5 percent by 2012, the government will run a three-year program to educate people on the dangers of the addiction.

A separate program will also allow web users to designate the time and specific websites they can access.

The government will train some 4,000 experts to expand counseling for Internet addicts.
