Andrea Bocelli, one of the most famous tenors in the world, was honored with the 2,402nd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
To congratulate his induction to the famed walk, a choir from the Adderley School of Performing Arts performed a piece.
The 51-year-old Italian singer, who had a humble beginning as a son of a farmer in Tuscany, considers being able to sing for people a great honor and joy. His passion for music was ignited when he learned to play the piano at age six, and even when he lost his sight at age 12 he remained dedicated to music.
Thanks to Luciano Pavarotti, who was blown away by Bocelli's demo tape and highly recommended the blind tenor to other musicians, he made a successful debut.
Bocelli's star can be found in front of the Roosevelt Hotel.
