Gov't to Boost Public Sector Jobs

The government aims to create some 250,000 jobs in the public sector this year.

During a meeting on Thursday, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security and other related ministries agreed to help lower the country's unemployment rate by forming regional councils nationwide that will work on creating new job opportunities.

Job search centers will also be established in cities that have more than 500,000 residents. The government said that it will help spur regional competition through incentives programs.

Moreover, regular reviews of each city's job creation efforts will be conducted and those that display outstanding work will be given an advantage when it comes to the distribution of government grants.
