The building containing North Korean leader Kim Jong-il's office is equipped with 11 satellite dishes, Japan's Kyodo news agency on Thursday quoted the January issue of a Chinese-language military magazine in Canada as saying.
Kanwa Defense Review published photographs of a quadrangle north of Pyongyang Station. It includes Kim's office labeled "no. 85"; a private medical room; a residence labeled "no. 15"; the North Korean Workers Party's Central Propaganda Department; and a banquet hall labeled "no. 8" that reportedly serves as the venue for female entertainers known as Gippeumjo (pleasure unit), who serve high-ranking North Korean officials.
The building containing Kim's office has three stories. From the sheer number of satellite dishes, the magazine inferred that Kim watches more overseas TV of late. It added it was already possible to watch six TV channels including NHK from the building in the 1980s.
