Did Woods Have Plastic Surgery After Fight with Wife?

New rumors claim that Tiger Woods underwent plastic surgery to repair damage to his face after his furious wife Elin Nordegren struck him with a golf club. U.S.-based webzine the Examiner and Britain's Daily Mail on Wednesday reported, citing the personal blog of former sports journalist Furman Bisher, that Woods has been avoiding the public eye recently because of the plastic surgery.

The 91-year-old Bisher is a retired sports columnist and former sports editor of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "The following is a legitimate message I received from a trustworthy journalist," he wrote on his blog. "It's the Tiger-Elin incident finally put into reliable form." He describes in detail the situation before and after Woods' car accident on Nov. 27.

According to Bisher, after discovering evidence of her husband's extramarital affair on his cell phone, Nordegren hit him in the face with a nine iron, breaking his cheekbone and two upper teeth. Woods tried to flee in his car, but Nordegren ran after him, swinging the golf club. She shattered the rear window of his car and he ultimately crashed into a fire hydrant and a tree.

Woods and his agent then flew to Phoenix, Arizona, in Woods' private jet for plastic surgery, Bisher wrote. "The surgeries were more intense than what they had originally planned, which meant Tiger was in Phoenix longer than he should have been," Bisher said, adding that this was why the police were unable to question Woods about the car accident in person.
