Major repairs of the Dabo Pagoda (or Dabotop) at the Bulguk Temple in the historic city of Gyeongju are complete, the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage said Tuesday.

The Dabotap, an ornamental Pagoda from the Shilla Kingdom, was completely rebuilt in 1925 during Japanese colonial rule and underwent another repair in 1972.

It has now been repaired again due to rainwater coming in through the cracks in the circular uppermost portion and weather damage.
