The 2009 Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) season ended with Seo Hee-kyung sweeping four major titles on Wednesday. The 23-year-old's four awards were for most wins, most prize money, lowest scoring average, and best player of the year.

Last year, despite having won six competitions, Seo was overshadowed by Shin Ji-yai, who won seven, and managed to win the only popularity award. But this year, Seo won five out of 18 competitions, amassed W663.8 million (US$1=W1,163) and posted a 70.51 scoring average. She garnered 321 points this season to win the best player award. "I was able to do my best thanks to Ryu So-yeon with whom I had to compete until the very end," she said.

Ryu, a 19-year-old fresher at Yonsei University, found herself in the same situation as Seo last year, coming second in the number of wins with four, money list with W597.9 million, and best player with award points of 213. She had to settle for the popularity award.

Shin, who won rookie of the year and money list and had the most number of wins with Lorena Ochoa in the U.S. LPGA this year, and Jeon Mi-jeong, who plays in Japan, won the awards for golfers playing abroad. Twenty-six golfers in the KLPGA donated W5.8 million accumulated through 2,250 birdies this season to a charitable cause.
